i saw harry potter (and the socerer's stone) tonight.
it kicked my ass.
i mean, REALLY kicked my ass. not only was the movie swell, the audience was great, and we got to see a new preview for the star wars ep. 2 (which is acutally looking OK), and a new lord of the rings trailer (which is looking seriously kickass). the only real complaint i have about the movie was that, in the interest of time, a great deal from the book was left out. it was still a very enjoyable movie, but it was a tad dissapointing to have some of the bits missing. but enough of that. it's great. go see it! even if you haven't read the books. even if you don't like harry potter. it rocks.
also, my day kicked ass. best one i've had in a while. i do so love the rain.

whilst we're one the subject of brighton beach memoirs, although i unforunatly missed ubertopher's mistake the first night, i did see the play last night. it was VERY good. if, for some strange reason, any of the actors, or crew are reading this, GOOD JOB. yup. i was very impressed. almost wish i'd been in it. anyway, huzzahs to ubertopher for not fucking up, and kudos to the rest of the cast (ok, him too) for doing a smashing job. you made my evening.
